Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager
Location: Sparrows Point, MD

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager to join our accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, as well as payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable and payroll, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Manage vendor relationships, including handling inquiries and resolving payment issues
- Perform weekly and monthly payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
- Maintain accurate and organized records of financial documents
- Process payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance with company policies, and adherence to relevant regulations
- Prepare payroll reports and assist in payroll tax filing as needed
- Collaborate with the accounting and HR teams to ensure seamless payroll processing
- Assist in internal and external audits related to accounts payable and payroll
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience in a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and/or payroll
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and familiarity with general ledger functions
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations is a plus
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
